  Paasa Illam – Children Camp 2018


A Children camp was organized for the children of FLAME-PAASAM between 30th April to 11th May 2018. Various session and programs were planned as part of the camp schedule. The children were privileged to have sessions on Personality development, children parliament, art work, folk and classical dance, silambam, Yoga, newspaper reading, basic computer knowledge, tailoring and some practical skills.   Supply of Nutrition


Out of 597 infected persons 140-150 persons are receiving nutrition support from FLAME. Only the deserving infected persons who are living without the support of relatives, blood brothers and sisters and who can not physically do hard work any more receive our nutrition support. The nutrition support includes 15kgs of rice, nutrition powder, 1litre edible oil, 1kg dhall, detergent soap, bathing soap, shampoo etc. They do not depend on anybody in their village.   Organization of Self-Help Groups


FLAME has formed 10 self-help groups among the infected women and 2 men SHG. Each SHG consists of 12 members. They have opened Bank accounts in Indian Overseas Bank, Dindigul Branch. After screening the performance of these SHGs the Bank Manager has distributed Rs. 1, 80,000 initially to 6 groups. Every member has received Rs. 2,500 each.   Medical Care to the infected Persons


FLAME provides clinical facilities exclusively to the infected persons after the consultation with Dr. Harsha Varshini who is our medical consultant. Regularly 15-20 persons get treatment in the clinic. Nurses distribute prescribed medicines to the infected persons with love and care. I.V. FLAME, being a Franciscan organaization, strongly felt the need to extend its service to the society based on environmental issues.   Educational Support to the Children


Every year nearly 150-160 children get educational support from FLAME. The children get educational support in the form of note-books, educational tools, school uniforms and bags. The school fee is also taken care of by the Organization for many of them. FLAME receives support in cash or kind from the like-minded persons in and around Dindigul District and distributes to the children according to their needs. The aim is to spread awareness among the students in the educational Institutions and the people in rural villages.
